July 14, 2003

Manhattan, Kan. - Fans wishing to purchase tickets for the BCA Football Classic in the designated K-State seating sections of Arrowhead Stadium may do so through July 31, athletics department officials announced on Monday.

K-State will accept ticket orders in person at the Athletics Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum or by calling toll-free (800) 221-CATS through the July deadline. After that date, tickets can only be purchased at the Arrowhead Stadium box office or at all Ticketmaster locations, www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (816) 931-3330.

The BCA Football Classic features the preseason Top 10-ranked Wildcats against California of the Pac-10 Conference on Saturday, August 23, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:45 p.m., and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

K-State has sold approximately 25,000 tickets for the game, including all of its allotment of club level seating, according to Casey Scott, associate athletics director. Tickets remain available in the field level for $45, the upper box for $35 and the upper reserved area for $25. K-State students can purchase tickets for $20.

K-State fans who ordered their BCA Classic tickets prior to July 11, will receive their tickets by mail in early August separate of their season-ticket package, Scott said. BCA tickets ordered after July 11 will be mailed by mid-August. Assignment of seating at Arrowhead Stadium for tickets purchased through K-State will be based on the K-State Priority Points system.
